Sadie Stranks

Actor, Producer, Writer, Model, dreamer.

Sadie Stranks is a union [ACTRA/SAG-AFTRA] actor, producer, and filmmaker known for her work across film, television, theatre, and original content. She is the founder of Elder Smith Productions, an independent film studio and production company through which she develops, produces, and stars in original projects.

Sadie recently produced, wrote, and starred in the ACTRA union pilot Why Can’t You Understand Me?, with a full season of The Sadie Stranks Show currently in production and coming soon to YouTube. Her latest project, Emo Night The Movie, is a non-profit cinematic short celebrating Toronto’s music and nightlife community. Elder Smith Productions currently has several additional projects in development.

As an actor, Sadie’s screen credits include The Hot Zone: Anthrax, Holly Hobbie, Eileen’s Garden, and Haunted Hospitals. She has performed in more than twenty theatre productions, including Avenue Q and Cats, and currently performs monthly as part of Excited Mental State’s The Rocky Horror Picture Show shadow cast.

Sadie is also an experienced voice actor, model, and performer, and has delivered motivational talks and film-industry presentations for classrooms and conferences. She trained with David Rotenberg, Annie Grindlay, Second City’s Michael Gellman, Brian Levy, and Seneca College’s Acting for Camera and Voice program, from which she graduated in 2019.

Sadie is known for her versatility, comedic instincts, and ability to create and lead original work both in front of and behind the camera.
